Combat Net Radio Training Aid
Raven Research Ltd has designed and developed a radio training simulator for use with a broad range of different radio types and models. The purpose of the product is to allow organisations to carry out training and retraining in a controlled environment without any risk of radiation hazard. The system allows a group of radio operators to exercise using their standard issue radios, while a single supervisor uses a PC to control the radio environment by simultaneously setting attenuation levels between individual radios. He can do this automatically, using computer generated propagation calculations, derived from a relief map, with individual operator positions plotted. Alternatively, the system can be operated manually.
